Donna Dyson Choral Composer

Donna Dyson is a national award winning composer and co-writer.  Donna’s choral works have been performed nationally and internationally by professional, community and school choirs. Donna travelled to Vienna and Prague to view her most recent work performed at the Summa Cum Laude International Festival (July 2016).

Donna’s original compositions have been performed at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre in Brisbane, Australia by leading Australian vocalists, 650 voice choirs and orchestras. 

Donna Dyson was awarded the honour of Composer in Residence for the Brisbane Sings Annual concert and holds this role for two choirs in 2016.

Donna loves to write for children due to her 25 year background in education as a teacher, education leader and university lecturer and is presently working on a children's album.

Donna Dyson was commissioned by The Glennie School composing the feature song "Spirit Of Australia" which was performed at the Summa Cum Laude International Festival in Vienna, Austria. The choir also performed this piece in Italy and Prague during the tour. Donna was excited to personally hear the choir performing in Vienna and Prague.
