  • Donna was chosen to create and compose a perpetual new Christmas Carol for Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight, annually broadcast on Channel 9 each Christmas Eve. This year LIGHT UP THE YEAR will be performed to millions of Australians on December 24th and will be a major feature of the broadcast. This show will be repeated on Christmas Day.

Prior to composing full time, Donna was a Professional Educator, Consultant, University Lecturer and published Author. In 2012, blindness caused Donna to swap consultancy for composition thanks to a federal fellowship resulting in her prolific creative output.

Donna's company Spotty Kites annually partners with the Qld Symphony Orchestra for their Children’s sell out Christmas Concerts.

Donna’s original compositions have been performed at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre in Brisbane Australia by leading Australian vocalists, 650 voice choirs and orchestras.

Damien Leith and Donna Dyson is a partnership is prolific and nationally highly awarded as are Donna and Craig Allister Young.  Their creative collaborations are in demand and these partnerships produce many genres. These cohesive and productive co-writing teams are fast, talented and able to write, arrange and produce briefs with a   “quick turn around” in a day's duration.

Europe! Commissioned Choral Composer Donna Dyson met the Australian representatives The Glennie School who competed in the Summa Cum Laude International Music Festival in Vienna and Prague.  You can commission Donna to compose a song for your school or choir.
